On Monday, October 26, over 140 golfers came out to Los Coyotes Country Club in Buena Park to raise money for Biola student scholarships. Golfers participating were able to make a significant impact in raising funds for Biola students. Half of all the money raised went to the Biola Fund and half went to Athletic scholarships. To make this tournament a success nearly forty sponsors participated, with Eclectic and Associates as the tournament’s Title sponsor for the fifth year in a row.
The full day began with breakfast on the course, featuring Chick-Fil-A as the tournament’s breakfast sponsor, a wide variety of on-course contests, including Jet-Blue Hole-in-One prizes, and the day concluded with a dinner awards banquet. A highlight of the day was the number of Biola student Athletes who volunteered. Over thirty student athletes participated in a number of volunteer roles, from greeting, to working the contest holes, to interacting with golfers at the Awards Banquet. Having the students out on the course was a great reminder to the golfers that all the funds raised that day would go directly to students. Biola looks forward to hosting its 32nd Golf Tournament in October 2010!
