Crowell School of Business Associate Professor of Finance, Dr. Shane Enete, has been named the 2025 Christian Financial Educator of the Year by the Institute for Christian Financial Health, an honor recognizing leaders who advance God’s design for money through education and service.

The annual awards celebrate individuals and organizations that strengthen churches, support families and champion biblical financial wisdom in their communities. According to the institute, this year's recipients reflect a growing movement to integrate faith and financial stewardship in meaningful, practical ways.

“Each of this year’s recipients reflects the heart of our mission. Their dedication to helping others pursue God’s design for money is inspiring and deeply needed today,” said Dr. Art Rainer, director of the Institute for Christian Financial Health.

As a professor of finance at Biola, Enete plays a key role in preparing students for Christ-centered financial planning and vocational faithfulness. In his classes, Enete combines rigorous financial training with a biblical worldview, equipping future financial professionals to serve with both competence and conviction.

“This recognition highlights the importance of financial education, given that money is consistently listed as the top anxiety among Americans, which is not God’s design for us,” said Enete.

The Christian Financial Educator of the Year award honors an educator who equips others with both biblical financial wisdom and practical insight. Enete’s influence extends beyond the classroom. He founded the Kingdom Financial Coaching Center, providing biblically grounded financial guidance to individuals and families, and is the author of Whole Heart Finances. He is also currently writing a couples-focused book with Moody Publishers.

Enete’s work bridges scholarship and ministry. His professional contributions include writing for , valuation projects with The Chosen, creation of the Money Storybook Bible podcast and academic research focused on biblical goal setting and faith-driven investing.

“At Biola, my goal has always been to help others see that learning about money can draw people closer to Jesus because money is ultimately a matter of the heart, and Jesus calls us to worship Him with our whole hearts,” said Enete.

By integrating academic excellence and real-world application, Enete exemplifies Biola University’s commitment to shaping leaders who thoughtfully and faithfully engage the world — including the often complex intersection of faith and finance.
