Stephen Tierney is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the State of California and a partner at Nienow & Tierney, LLP. With over 25 years of experience in public accounting, Stephen specializes in tax planning, preparation, and consulting for privately held businesses. He takes pride in delivering clear, practical guidance to help clients navigate complex tax issues and achieve their financial goals.

Stephen holds a Master’s degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University and previously served as an instructor at Hope International University, teaching Principles of Accounting I and II. An avid marathon runner, he is the founder and president of Up and Running Again, a nonprofit organization that inspires and trains individuals experiencing homelessness to complete half-marathons—helping them build confidence, discipline, and hope.
